“JESSE H. JONES COMMUNICATIONS CENTER; Building B, 2504 Whitis
Assault with Injuries: Two Capital Metro buses pulled up to the bus stop located on the west side of the building. The driver of the first bus went inside the building to use the restroom. The driver of the first bus later stated the driver of the second bus followed him into the restroom. When the first driver asked the second why he was following him, the second driver punched the first in the eye. The second driver left the area. The first bus driver sustained injuries from the punch and was transported by his supervisor to a local hospital before the police were summoned. Occurred on 11/20/09 at 7:22 PM.”

Now that we’re closer to Christmas, I keep seeing various Crayola commercials. … thought is always, “That kid is way too old for that product. He wouldn’t be caught dead playing with that.” As in, I don’t think the average 10-year-old (as portrayed by the actor kid,) would actually want the product….

Having been a producer of educational media for kids, I know that kids want to see older “cool” kids doing what you want the kid to do. In my case, we had 14 year-olds doing fourth or fifth grade math. The idea is that they’ll think peer-age kids are babies, but slightly older kids are cool. I haven’t seen any research that supports, this, though.
